On the coast of the Novigrad Sea, 25 km northeast of Zadar, is a small town Posedarje, made in the 12th century.

Through Posedarje passes Adriatic highway which is part of the Zadar-Maslenica route, and directly above the highway Zagreb-Split.

Here you can find the little churches from the 12th and 13th century. The most interesting is Gothic church, placed on one of the islands near the place, and it is the Sveti Duh. Along the island stretches the sandy beach, attractive for its healing mud, which is an increasingly popular alternative by curing various diseases.

In recent years, the place has maintained bike paths, and is also known for Maslenički bridge and Zrmanja river canyon.

The inhabitants are engaged in fishing, production of olive oil, wine and ham.

Here is a well-known nursery of the mussels, and also due to the extremely clear water a very good quality fish.
